Police warn galamsey protest organisers of legal consequences for any law breach

The Ghana Police Service has warned that organizers of the "Concerned Citizens Against Galamsey" demonstration, scheduled for October 3-5, 2024, will be held accountable for any illegal activities.

In a statement, the police emphasized the organizers' responsibilities under the Public Order Act, including liability for any damage to public property.

Participants must follow police directives to ensure public safety and avoid traffic disruptions.

The police assured the public that adequate security measures are in place to maintain law and order during the demonstration.
