‘Pragia’ rider remanded for alleged murder of lactating girlfriend

The Mpraeso Circuit Court has remanded Kwaku Siaw, a 24-year-old 'pragia' rider, into police custody for allegedly murdering his 18-year-old girlfriend, Adwo Kutremor.

Siaw is accused of slitting her throat at their home in Nkawkaw Krofoforom, suspecting her of infidelity.

After the crime, he falsely told his parents she had gone to her mother's house, but the baby's cries raised suspicion, leading to his arrest.

Siaw, who fled the scene, was apprehended at Akyem Asante Juaso after contacting his father.

The case has been adjourned to September 4, 2024.
