Economist and Political Risk Analyst, Dr. Theo Acheampong, has urged political parties to clarify how they will fund their numerous promises for the 2024 general elections, highlighting the challenge of limited fiscal space.

Speaking on JoyNews’ PM Express, he emphasised that the incoming government will lack resources to finance extensive promises, necessitating creative solutions for execution.

Dr. Acheampong stressed the importance of addressing funding feasibility to ensure promises translate into tangible outcomes, reducing poverty and inequality and improving Ghanaians' well-being.

He questioned the impact of proposals like paying sub-chiefs on governance improvement, given the current economic constraints.
