Prof Gyapong awarded a Fellowship of the UK Faculty of Public Health

On June 25, Prof. John Gyapong, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ghana and incoming Secretary General of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA), was awarded a Fellowship of the UK Faculty of Public Health (FFPH) through Distinction.

This accolade recognizes his outstanding contributions to public health.

Prof. Gyapong’s career, marked by significant research in tropical diseases and leadership in health education, has greatly impacted public health policies in Ghana and beyond.

In his acceptance speech, he emphasized the importance of collaboration in advancing public health.
