Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, NDC vice-presidential candidate, criticized President Akufo-Addo for erecting a statue amid economic hardships.

Speaking in Walewale during her campaign tour, she highlighted Ghana's high prices, unemployment, and poverty, which she claimed disproportionately affect women.

She argued the NPP government has failed to create jobs, leaving many young people unemployed.

Opoku-Agyemang assured that an NDC administration would introduce initiatives like the "24-Hour Economy," the "Big Push," a Women’s Development Bank, and a National Apprenticeship Programme to address economic challenges, empower women, and provide jobs.

She urged Ghanaians to vote for John Mahama in the December elections, promising that the NDC would prioritize national development and alleviate hardships.
