Prophesying contradictory election results is embarrassing - Bishop Asamoah

Bishop Frederick Asamoah Bishop Frederick Asamoah

The Resident Pastor of Excellence Sanctuary of the Victory Bible Church International, Bishop Frederick Asamoah, has described the prophets that are predicting different election results as embarrassment to the Church.

According to Bishop Asamoah, God is an order God and not an author of confusion and therefore wonders how God can give contradictory results.

Many prophets have predicted the outcome of Ghana's 2020 elections with some saying God has revealed to them that the incumbent President Nana Akufo Addo will retain his seat whiles others have prophesied that the former President John Mahama will return.

Bishop Asamoah reacting to these prophesies in an exclusive interview with Daakyehene Ofosu Agyeman said God can reveal the outcome of elections but it is not every prophesy that you make it public.

"It is an embarrassment to the body of Christ for prophets claiming to be serving the same God give different revelations from the same God unless they are mentioning different gods" he added.

He added that whatever Ghanaians decide will be the final outcome of the elections and the predictions will not change nothing and therefore advised those election predictors to stop.

He referred the prophets to to 1 Corinthians 14:3-4 paraphrasing that prophesies are to strengthen and edifying the church and called on those who are saying God says to be mindful of not using the name of God in vain.

"If not for self seeking and popularity how could a a genuine called man of God devotes time revealing results of football matches as well predicting outcome of boxing, it is out of place" he added.
