Rawlings Congratulates Bulgarian PM

Accra, 9 June President Jerry John Rawlings today sent a congratulatory message to Mr Ivan Kostov on his election as Prime Minister of Bulgaria. A statement issued in Accra, said "on behalf of the people and government of Ghana, and on my own behalf, I extend to Your Excellency, my warmest congratulations on your election to the high office of Prime Minister of your country". The statement hoped that Mr Kostov's term of office would see the strengthening and extension of the cordial relations that already exist between Bulgaria and Ghana. Mr Kostov is the leader of the Union of Democratic Forces, which won last April's Parliamentary elections in Bulgaria. He was elected Prime Minister by the new Parliament, according to the Bulgarian constitution and has since formed his cabinet. Gri...
