Religious leaders in the Ashanti Region braved heavy rains on Tuesday for a peace march in Kumasi, advocating for transparent and peaceful elections in 2024.

Representatives from Christian, Muslim, and other faith groups marched through the city and presented a petition to the Electoral Commission, urging fairness and transparency in the electoral process.

Rev. Dr. Enoch Kwabena Nketiah, Convener of the Coalition of Muslim and Christian Clergy, emphasized their commitment to praying for successful elections and fostering unity.

Ashanti Regional EC Director, Francis Osei Nsiah, assured the Commission’s dedication to credible elections and promised to forward the petition to Accra.
