Renowned Economist passes on

Dr. Kojo Essiem Mensah-Abrampa, a renowned economist and development planner has passed away on July 1, 2024, at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital due to a suspected heart attack.

He was the Director General of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) and had 28 years of experience in the field.

Dr. Mensah-Abrampa was a respected lecturer and had worked with organizations like the United Nations Development Programme and the World Bank.

His leadership played a significant role in shaping Ghana's development agenda, and his passing has received tributes from various sectors.
