Kofi Akpaloo, the Liberal Party of Ghana's (LPG) flagbearer, has called on the Electoral Commission (EC) to reprint the 2024 presidential ballots, citing concerns over the inclusion of deceased Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) candidate Akua Donkor's image.

Akpaloo believes that keeping Donkor on the ballot could lead to voter confusion and potentially skew election results.

Speaking at a press conference on November 13, Akpaloo argued that if a new GFP candidate had been approved, the EC would have updated the ballots accordingly.

He expressed concerns that votes cast for Donkor could complicate the calculation of percentages for each candidate, which might result in disputes over election outcomes.

To ensure clarity and integrity, Akpaloo urged the EC to remove Donkor’s image from the ballot papers.
