Residents commend police for the arrest of the most wanted armed robber in Adeiso

Residents in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern Region have commended the Adeiso District Police Command following the arrest of the town’s suspected most notorious robber.

According to the residents, the suspect, Sydney Faris and his gang of other suspected robbers had terrorized them for years.

The residents told Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that they are extremely happy the suspect has been arrested.

They want him to be prosecuted and jailed for the alleged crimes he had committed.

Narrating the circumstances leading to his arrest, Rainbow Radio’s Prince Bening disclosed that the Police picked intelligence that the suspect was with his mother after he had allegedly robbed some residents of their two Apple phones on Tuesday, September 13, 2021.

The suspect reportedly hid in his mother’s roof upon seeing the Police.

The Police were said to have fired warning shots before the suspect was arrested.

Commander for the District ASP Baffour Awuah confirmed the arrest and said the police would arraign him before the court.
