The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) is urging the government to address concerns raised by striking university unions.
The strike, initiated on September 16, involves the Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU), Senior Staff Association of Universities of Ghana (SSA-UoG), and Federation of Senior Staff Association of Ghana (FUSSAG).
It is due to the Controller and Accountant General’s Department’s failure to implement approved vehicle maintenance and off-campus allowances.
UTAG President, Dr. Mamudu Akudugu, appealed for a swift resolution, noting the disruption to the academic calendar and the need for normalcy to return.
