Emmanuel Mensah, a 35-year-old Ghanaian miner, has been charged with defrauding two Rwandan nationals of GH¢56.8 million in a fraudulent gold sale.

Mensah, who allegedly sold counterfeit gold, was granted bail by Accra's Circuit Court after pleading not guilty. The case is still under investigation as police search for his accomplices.

In a separate case, Ida Boateng, the owner of Ida's Kiddy World, is wanted by the court after failing to attend her hearing for allegedly sending death threats to Josephine Isa.

Boateng's threats, made via social media, stemmed from a personal dispute. Her accomplices are also being sought.
