SIMS holds virtual AGM on July 2

Multi-specialist asset manager, Stanbic Investment Management Services (SIMS), will hold it's 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday, July 2, 2021, between 10 am and 1 pm.

The 2020 AGM will be held in compliance with Imposition of Restriction Act 2020 (Act 1012) and the Registrar General’s Department and Securities and Exchange Commission directives and guidance on holding virtual AGMs and as such, attendance and participation by members or their proxies in this year’s AGM, shall be strictly virtual.

Unitholders of SIMS’ Stanbic Income Fund Trust (SIFT) and Stanbic Cash Trust (SCT) will be able to participate in the virtual AGM by visiting www.simscisagm.com and typing in their four-digit unique token number to enter the meeting. Voting at the AGM will be done using the unique token number, which has been provided to all unitholders. Unitholders are encouraged not to share their token numbers with anyone so as not to compromise their votes.

SIMS is a multi-specialist asset manager that connects retail and institutional clients with multiple investment opportunities across asset classes and markets. The company manages two funds, the SCT and the SIFT. The SCT is an open-ended unit trust fund.

The primary objective of the Fund is to maximize short-term income while preserving capital through investing in a portfolio of money market securities including treasury bills, fixed deposits, and certificate of deposits and debt securities with a maturity not exceeding 13 months.

The Stanbic Income Fund Trust is an authorized unit trust as defined in the Unit Trusts and Mutual Funds Regulations, 2001 (L.I. 1695). The fund offers and redeems units to subscribers and from unitholders respectively on an ongoing basis. Units are sold and redeemed at a price computed in accordance with the terms of the scheme particulars.

The primary objective of the fund is to maximize short-term income as well as long-term sustainable income and capital appreciation of its assets, through investing in a portfolio of fixed income securities including government treasury bills and notes, fixed deposits, and other corporate debt securities.
