SSNIT hotels: PUWU, JUSAG, others to strike on Monday

Seven government agencies have planned to join Organised Labour’s strike on July 15, 2024, opposing SSNIT's sale of 60% shares in four hotels.

The agencies include PUWU, TUC's General Transport, Petroleum and Chemical Workers Union, JUSAG, Teacher Unions, GRNMA, GMA, and Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.

Rock City Hotel withdrew its bid to buy the shares, citing inadequate stakeholder engagement and resultant negativity.
