Sammi Awuku unleashes NPP ‘spirits’ into Joy Fm’s Emefa Apawu

National Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sammi Awuku last Sunday literally wooed Broadcast Journalist Emefa Apawu of Joy Fm (a subsidiary of the Multimedia Group Limited) into falling in love with the elephant family with a kind gesture.

The NPP National executive who was being interviewed by the journalist on Joy News at the National Annual Delegates’ Conference held at the Trade Fair willingly gave out his wristwatch, branded with party colours to the journalist on live television to the shock of viewers.

Host of the show (Emefa Apawu) had complimented the National Organiser on his nice ‘party’ watch, saying “that’s a nice watch you have there…”

Mr. Awuku then asked whether she wanted it. And when the host said yes! He gave it to her indicating that, “that’s the NPP spirit and we love to share.”

Sammi Awuku had been commenting on the organisation of the National Delegates Conference and giving an account of proceedings and the purpose of the conference to viewers when out of the blue, Ms Apawu, the host, made the comments.

Over 6,500 delegates from the 16 regions of the country attended last Sunday’s conference which provided the platform for deliberations on matters of the party’s interest going into the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

The National Delegates Conference is the supreme governing body of the NPP which brings together party officers across the country including founding fathers, branches abroad, TESCON affiliates, Members of Parliament and government appointees (when the party is in power.)

The conference was under the theme: “We Have Performed Better – 4 More To Do More.”
