Security officers robbed on Ofankor-Nsawam project site

Armed men have robbed security officers protecting contractors on the Ofankor to Nsawam project. The incident occurred early Sunday at the Ofankor railway bridge section.

Senior Project Manager Abdulai Mahama reported that the robbers, targeting a broken-down truck, tied and robbed the security officers of phones and personal items.

A black Toyota Camry was used in the heist.

The robbers also attacked two other men, stealing their money and phones before fleeing. The area is frequently targeted by robbers, especially when vehicles break down.

The contractors have reported the incident to the Ofankor Police, who have assured an investigation.
