September 21 declared public holiday

September 21 is Nkrumah's birthday

The Minister of the Interior, Ambrose-Dery, has declared Wednesday, September 21, 2022, as a statutory public holiday.

September 21 marks the birthday of Ghana's first president, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

The new Public Holidays Act, 2018, was passed by Parliament in 2018 to amend the Public Holidays Act, o2001.

The new Act replaced three public holidays, including September 21 and introduced two new holidays,
