Shortage of indelible ink at Ayawaso, EC to the rescue

The Electoral Commission dispatched several bottles of indelible ink to parts of the Ayawaso West Constituency to ensure resumption of voting following a shortage of the item.

Ms. Agartha Amegayie, Presiding officer at the C-Tech polling station, told the GNA that her colleagues from almost all the polling stations at Alajo in the constituency came to her for assistance as they had run out of indelible ink.

Meanwhile two voters, David Kwame Ayi Crents, 44, with photo ID number 04730476 claiming to have registered at C-Tech and Tei Ayiku with ID card number 10564101, who said he registered at ATTC polling station could not find their names at the stations they had registered.

On thorough search at the head office of the EC the number and name of Mr Crents were found at SSNIT Maintenance office 'A' polling station at Adenta, where he admitted he transferred his name to "but I thought my name was still at the old station."

Ayiku was referred to Mosama Disco Christo Church polling station to cast his vote.

He however threatened that "if I do not find my name this time, there will be black fire."
