A high-level delegation from Sierra Leone, led by Major General (Rtd.) David Taluva and UNDP's Fredrick Ampiah, visited Ghana to learn about transitioning their Police Force into a Police Service.
The visit, facilitated by UNDP, focused on understanding Ghana’s successful transition and collaboration between the Ministry of the Interior and security agencies.
The delegation met with key Ghanaian officials, including Interior Minister Henry Quartey, and discussed police reforms aimed at enhancing public trust and attracting investors to Sierra Leone.
The Sierra Leonean officials are eager to apply these lessons to their own reform efforts.
