Prof. Samuel Atintono, president of the Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF), has announced a "very fruitful" discussion between the government and the Colleges of Education Teachers Association (CETAG), signaling significant progress in resolving their standoff.

Despite CETAG's 40-day strike demanding better conditions and remuneration, recent talks involving key stakeholders, including the Education Minister, showed promise.

Both sides made commitments, and further consultations are expected.

Prof. Atintono praised CETAG's flexible stance and anticipates more detailed outcomes soon, with the hope that the strike, which has disrupted education in 46 public colleges, will end soon.
