The Sports Ministry maintains that it paid GH¢3.6 million to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) for covering the 13th African Games, despite GBC's claim of receiving only $105,000.
The Ministry's Executive Assistant, Jamaludeen Abdullah, expressed concern over GBC's denial and clarified that the payments included fees for third-party services engaged by GBC, not just GBC itself.
This response follows GBC Director-General Prof. Amin Alhassan's public refutation of the Minister's statement, leading to a dispute over the actual amount received by GBC and the allocation of the funds.
