The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Awutu Senya East, Central Region, demands a thorough, transparent investigation into a disturbance at the Electoral Commission's Kasoa office on Sunday.
The incident led to the arrest of the NDC's constituency organiser, Daniel Techie Mensah, and their parliamentary candidate after Ato Koomson, son of NPP MP and Fisheries Minister Mavis Hawa Koomson, was stabbed and hospitalized.
The NDC's Constituency Communication Officer, Stephen Delali Sowoekpor, criticized the selective arrests and questioned police impartiality, citing a history of alleged attacks on NDC supporters by Hawa Koomson.
The NDC says it is closely monitoring police actions.
