Stop politicising military operations – Francis Poku

Former National Security Minister Francis Poku warned against politicizing military operations, stressing the need for non-partisan support for security efforts.

During the Republic Day Lecture, Poku emphasized intelligence-driven deployments for elections and ongoing assessments to maintain stability.

He urged clear communication, accountability, and respect for human rights within military operations.

Highlighting the link between security and national development, Poku praised the military's professionalism during Major Mahama's killing. He called for a strong security foundation, stressing that Ghana's progress depends on a stable security environment.
