Strong dialogue platforms needed to tackle rising tensions ahead of December polls – WANEP

The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) has called for unified platforms to promote dialogue amid escalating tensions and unrest ahead of Ghana's 2024 elections.

WANEP emphasizes the need to regulate platforms for expression while acknowledging the challenges of controlling individual actions.

The National Elections Response Group (NERG) was inaugurated to enhance security for the upcoming elections.

WANEP's Deputy Executive Director, Levinia Addae-Mensah, stressed the importance of strengthening platforms for dialogue.

The Electoral Commission (EC) expressed readiness to ensure a peaceful, credible, and transparent election in collaboration with WANEP.
