President Akufo-Addo called for the GFA president to be investigated after it was discovered he had extorted money from persons he thought were potential investors into the Ghanaian economy in the name of the President and his Vice, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

The revelation was made when the President viewed investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ latest documentary on football and politics, ‘Number 12’ which will be premiered Wednesday, 6th June 2018 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The president who was not happy with the excerpts of the video shown to him, reported the incident to the police which led to the arrest of Mr Nyantakyi.

He has since been charged with defrauding by false pretence.
