The Supreme Court will hear two lawsuits today, filed by Richard Dela Sky and Dr. Amanda Odoi, challenging the constitutionality of the anti-gay bill passed by Parliament.
Sky argued that the bill breached the 1992 constitution and violated fundamental human rights, while Odoi seeks a restraining order to prevent the bill's transmission to the President for approval.
The Presidency has directed Parliament to hold off on sending the bill until the court issues are resolved.
The Supreme Court has fixed the case for hearing today, July 3, at 9:30 am, with a warning that the court will proceed without the parties if they fail to appear.
