Swiftbooks launches in Africa

Swiftbooks Sales and Accounting has formally been launched in Africa.

Swiftbooks is a cloud Sales management tool aimed at growing and protecting businesses and is specifically designed and customized to the African market.

The software has been launched in the form of an App and desktop application designed at monitoring all aspects of retail, wholesale, and field sales businesses.

The application which has been years in the making is aimed at delivering accessibility for many businesses that cannot afford enterprise level technology.

The development of the app involved a collaboration of 22 developers who had experience in running businesses in Africa including those working in the informal sector.

The development relied on remote communication and asana-based task management. The Lead Developer of the Project, Robert Sarfo a pharmacist and business owner said “ The way we run our businesses is very different to the way businesses are run in Europe, America, and other developed nations”.

“They have structures to mitigate unnecessary losses whilst we have to create this structure to protect our businesses.”

He added “Swiftbooks aims at making the business owner feel in control of their business again.

Most people working in the formal economy have secondary sources of income such as stores and shops but find it difficult to manage in their absence with issues of identifying theft, Swiftbooks Sales & Accounting takes care of that.”
