The Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU) and the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) have suspended their nationwide strikes, which began in September over unpaid allowances and pension contributions.

Both unions warned the government to resolve their concerns within three weeks or face further action.

TEWU stressed that nine months of pension contributions are still outstanding, while GAUA expects the government to address their demands soon.

Meanwhile, other unions like CETAG and SSA-UoG remain on strike.

The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission has promised to resolve the issues quickly.
