A joint task force of the Police, Ghana Health Service (GHS), and Ada District Assemblies will enforce new health measures on October 26 in Ada to curb a recent cholera outbreak.
The measures ban food and drink distribution at funerals and require hand-washing facilities at public events.
The outbreak has affected 43 people and resulted in two deaths in the Ada East and West districts.
Dr. Dennis Laryea of the GHS highlighted increased public health education and called on international support to address sanitation issues fueling the crisis.
