Teacher licensure exams to be scrapped, integrated into final exams – Mahama

John Dramani Mahama, the NDC flagbearer, has vowed to abolish the teacher licensure exams, integrating them into final-year exams for teacher trainees.

At the NDC’s manifesto launch in Winneba, he also unveiled the "Teacher Dabre" project, which aims to provide teacher accommodation alongside new school constructions.

Mahama emphasized that no new classrooms will be built without housing for teachers, and existing schools lacking such facilities will be prioritized.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve teacher welfare and support educational infrastructure.
