The Omanhene of Anum, Okusiako Brempong Kumi Sasraku VIII, has urged the government to build a memorial center in Anum to honor Theodosia Salome Okoh, designer of Ghana’s national flag.
This appeal was made during a flag-hoisting ceremony celebrating Okoh’s contributions, including being the first female President of the Ghana Hockey Federation.
The event also highlighted the importance of inspiring responsibility and national development.
MP Thomas Nyarko Ampem praised the organizers, calling for unity among Anum citizens to honor their heroes.
Wilhelmina Mensah emphasized the need for a monument to commemorate Okoh's legacy.
