Nana Yaa Jantuah, former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party, is advocating for a forensic audit of Ghana's voter register to ensure transparency ahead of the 2024 elections.
She argues that such an audit would eliminate disputes and enhance credibility, following calls from the opposition NDC over discrepancies in the register.
While the Electoral Commission is open to an online exhibition of the register, Jantuah emphasizes the need for independent expert involvement to address concerns and satisfy all political stakeholders.
She criticized the NPP's opposition to the audit, urging the EC to prioritize public trust.
