Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has dismissed fears of a confrontation in Parliament on Tuesday, October 22.

Responding to the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) plan to occupy the Majority side, Afenyo-Markin stated the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would walk out if tensions rise, rather than engage in conflict.

The dispute follows Speaker Alban Bagbin’s ruling, which declared four parliamentary seats vacant, leading to a legal challenge.

Afenyo-Markin emphasized that the NPP will adhere to the Supreme Court’s directive and avoid political theatrics, focusing on the legal process.
