There’s no Free SHS bill in Parliament – Ato Forson replies Afenyo Markin

Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has refuted accusations by Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin that the minority opposes a bill on the Free Senior High School policy.

Dr. Forson clarified that there is no such bill currently before parliament. He emphasized that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) minority would support any legislation to improve and sustain the Free SHS policy.

He highlighted that it was Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, not the NDC, who publicly opposed the need for a law regulating the Free SHS policy, insisting that commitment alone suffices.

Dr. Forson urged the government to present the bill promptly.
