The Deputy Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Ing. Kwadwo Obeng, rejected calls for a load-shedding timetable despite a three-week power outage announced by ECG and GRIDCo due to a gas supply shortage from Nigeria.
Business owners, including barbers and tailors, expressed the need for a timetable to plan their operations.
However, Obeng explained that creating an accurate timetable is challenging due to unpredictable faults and maintenance.
He emphasized the difficulty in planning without knowing the exact power deficit and other factors like peak and off-peak periods, making a precise schedule impractical.
