This is evidence of good leadership – Sulemana Braimah commends police’s handing of Democracy Hub demo

Sulemana Braimah, Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), has praised the Ghana Police Service for its professional handling of the recent Democracy Hub protest.

In a Facebook post, Braimah attributed the positive change to the leadership of Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, highlighting a shift from the force's past reliance on brute force.

He commended the police for upholding citizens' rights to freedom of expression and described the institution’s new approach as a model for responsible law enforcement, enhancing Ghana’s democratic image.
