The Ministry of Transport is urging stakeholders to prioritize the maintenance of the newly constructed Jamestown Fishing Harbour, which is completed but awaiting commissioning.
Funded by the Chinese government at $50 million, the project took four years to complete.
Transport Minister Kwaku Ofori Asiamah expressed satisfaction with the construction but noted that final paperwork and inspections are pending.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining the harbour for future generations and called on the media to help raise awareness about the necessity of upkeep to ensure the facility's long-term benefits.
