The police arrested two individuals linked to a stabbing incident at the Ofaakor Electoral Commission Office near Kasoa.
Ato Koomson, son of Awutu Senya East MP and Fisheries Minister Mavis Hawa Koomson, was stabbed amid a dispute over seating arrangements at the registration center.
The Awutu Senya East NPP constituency secretary, Michael Addo, received a call about the escalating conflict, which reportedly involved the NDC attempting to disrupt the process. Despite efforts to maintain peace, Ato Koomson was injured.
The suspects, apprehended and assaulted by NPP members before being handed to the police, are now in custody assisting with investigations.
