The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has announced that the UK will introduce Electronic Visas (E-Visas) starting January 1, 2025, replacing all current physical visa documents.

This update, shared by the British High Commission, means that visas stamped in passports, Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs), and Biometric Residence Cards (BRCs) will no longer be valid after December 31, 2024.

Individuals planning to stay in the UK for over six months in 2025 should apply for E-Visas now.

Those traveling during the holiday season are advised to secure E-Visa approval before the deadline to ensure smooth re-entry into the UK.
