The University of Media, Arts, and Communication (UNIMAC) has introduced a PhD in Media and Communication program, with applications open for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Prospective students must hold a master’s degree in a communication-related field with a CGPA of 3.0 or higher.
Additional coursework may be required for those without research backgrounds.
Applicants must submit a 3,000-word research proposal and pass a selection interview.
Specializations include media and journalism, political communication, public relations, marketing, advertising, development communication, and theatre studies.
The program features a blended learning model, with in-person and virtual sessions delivered by international scholars from Virginia Tech University, USA, and Nelson Mandela University, South Africa.
