UTAG’s indefinite strike remains in force despite petition from non-lecturers – Prof Gyampo

The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) is committed to its ongoing indefinite strike, rejecting challenges from a group of 57 individuals who submitted a petition against it.

Professor Ransford Gyampo stated that many petitioners are not university lecturers, and some have distanced themselves from the initiative.

UTAG will not engage in public disputes, preferring to address concerns privately.

The association will maintain its strike until the National Executive Council decides otherwise, focusing on critical national issues, particularly illegal mining, and advocating for reforms and accountability.
