Dr. Juliette Tuakli, member of United Way Ghana Governing Council and Board of Trustees of United Way Worldwide, has been elected as the new Board Chair of United Way Worldwide effective May 2020.
United Way Ghana is a member of the United Way Worldwide network, the largest privately funded non-profit in the world with nearly, 1800 communities across more than 40 countries and territories worldwide.
United Way envisions a world where every individual has an opportunity to succeed, and entire communities thrive as a result.
United Way fights for the health , education and financial stability of every person in every community.
Dr. Tuakli, the first African and woman Chair Elect is the founder and Chief Medical Director of Family, Child & Associates and a highly acclaimed pediatrician and reproductive health specialist.
She has won several awards including the African Union Award for Medical Excellence, Lifetime Achievement Award by the South Africa-based CEO Global and Best Pediatric Practitioner of the Year award by the West African Clinical Alliance Awards (WACA). Dr. Tuakli is a co-Founder of the MOREMI Girls Leadership Initiative and serves as an Advisor to Nestle, African Union and other organizations.
As a highly respected Social Philanthropist, Dr. Tuakli serves on the boards of Mercy Ships and Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative and was the first Female Rotary Club president of the premier Anglophone club in Africa.
