The Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) has suspended its nationwide strike, initially launched on September 18, 2024, over unmet conditions of service and unpaid allowances.
In a communiqué issued on October 11, GAUA directed members to resume work on October 14, emphasizing the suspension is to facilitate further negotiations with the government.
The association expressed hope that the government will engage in discussions within three weeks to address concerns outlined in a Memorandum of Agreement signed on October 7, 2024.
