WAEC releases 2024 BECE results; entire results of 41 candidates canceled

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released provisional results for the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for both School and Private candidates.

Results for school candidates will be sent to their schools through local education offices.

WAEC reported exam malpractices, leading to the cancellation of subject results for 377 school candidates and 3 private candidates, while 41 school candidates and 1 private candidate had all their results canceled.

Investigations are ongoing for other irregularities.

A total of 569,236 school candidates and 1,390 private candidates sat for the exam.

WAEC has outlined steps for candidates to check their results online using a results checker purchased via mobile money.
