A Wa High Court, led by Justice Yussif Assibey, has overturned a decision by the District Registration Review Officer (DRRO) of Nandom to remove 197 names from the voter register.
The DRRO had ordered the deletions after claims that the individuals failed to attend a review hearing, following allegations that they were non-residents, deceased, or foreign nationals.
The applicants contested the decision in court, denying they were properly notified.
Justice Assibey ruled that the applicants were denied a fair hearing, breaching natural justice, and ordered their names to be reinstated on the voter roll with biometric IDs issued.
