A major transmission line burst has led to a water cut in parts of the Greater Kumasi Metropolis.

The Barekese Water Treatment Plant and Achiase Booster have been shut down for repairs, affecting areas including Suame, Tafo/Pankrono, Asokwa, and more.

The damage was caused by construction equipment at Suame roundabout.

Engineers from Ghana Water Limited (GWL) are working to fix the issue swiftly.

GWL management has assured the public that water supply will resume promptly once repairs are complete.
