The Ministry for Youth and Sports has launched an investigation into the disappearance of alleged Ghanaian para-athletes who failed to participate in the Fjordkraft Bergen Marathon in Norway.

The athletes absconded, with one tragically passing away and another being apprehended while attempting to move to Sweden.

The Ministry has condemned the incident, denied any association with the group, and announced disciplinary actions against those responsible.

Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif criticized the Norwegian authorities for not verifying the athletes' legitimacy before issuing visas, stating he could not take responsibility for the scandal.
