Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong has confidently revealed that the government had accurately predicted the recent dry spell, thanks to precise forecasts from the Ghana Meteorological Agency.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra, Acheampong expressed frustration that many farmers disregarded the government's advice and planted crops anyway.
"We knew this was coming and took proactive steps to mitigate the impact," he asserted.
Despite the severe damage, Acheampong emphasized the government's foresight in preparing contingency measures, including drought-resistant seeds and irrigation support, showcasing their readiness to tackle challenges head-on.
