The Medical Laboratory Professional Workers Union in the Ashanti Region remains steadfast in their strike, which began on June 17 over better conditions of service.
The strike severely affects patients needing laboratory services.
The union demands a signed memorandum of understanding before ending the strike, rejecting mere assurances from their employer.
Dr. Eric Kofi Aidoo, Ashanti Regional Chairman for the Ghana Association of Medical Lab Scientists, emphasized the need for official communication and tangible results, including improved pay and employment for lab science graduates.
In Koforidua, patients are stranded as the strike disrupts services, urging the government to resolve the issues swiftly.
